Pennsylvania Sucks
Dear Pennsylvania,
You suck. Jenn and I only drove about 350 of our 1220 miles through you, but I can say without a doubt that you suck.
Your roads are the worst we travled on in 4 states, and your drivers just seem to be retarded. How can you have all those tolls for your roads yet still constantly be "Under Construction" and in horrible disarray?
Also, do you think that you could figure out how to create an interstate interchange that doesn't have me going 5 miles out of my way just so that i can bypass 50 different gas stations and other crappy places that you somehow feels i need to visit.

In the 80's or 90's a magazine started polling over-the-road truckers on the worst roads in America. After PA won the title for 4-5 years in a row the magazine set them aside to compare the rest.
Once when traveling home from college I was trying to sleep in the passenger seat of my Nissan while a friend drove, and as I was dozing without opening my eyes, I said, "we must be in MD now, because the road is nice" (with my eyes closed.) We had just crossed the border.
On a similar note once i was lost on Rt. 50 with a friend of mine. We were trying to get off of Rt. 50 onto Rt. 301 but missed the exit. I knew we were in D.C. when the roads got really bad. There were potholes everywhere. We them imediatly turned around!
You are soooooo right about the roads in PA and the thing that kills me is how much money they make off the PA turnpike. What are they doing with all that cash? Because they sure aren't fixing the roads. There was one stretch of Route 1 that was being "worked on" my entire four years of college in PA. And don't even get me started on how they don't clear the snow off the highways in Eastern PA.
